desensitization or exposure are very helpful, pictures first by imagining lowest level of phobia building up to the high level, try to break fear down. this is called fear of hierachy

Specific phobia

intense and persistent tear that is both excessive and unreasonable in the presence of a specific object or situation. not helped by reassurance of other in knowing that the fear is unreasonable

|
