stage 1: pain, swelling, color change (red or blue), immobilizaiton, EARLY OSTEOPOROSIS on xray
stage 2/dystrophic: persistance for 3-12 months, BRAWNY HARD EDEMA, atrophy of subQ tissue and muscle, COLD EXTREMITY, progression of OSTEOPOROSIS stage 3: 9-18 months after start: pain may diminish extremity becomes STIFF swelling becomes periarticular thickening skin becomes GLOSSY brittle nails spasm or tremor fracture from progression of osteoporosis stage 4: orthostatic hypo/hypertension, depression, job loss |
