What four European mationa claimed land in ther "New World"?
England, Netherlands, France, and Spain
What did the arrival of the Europeans mean for the Native Americans?
It meant many changes like new technology, and ideas to natives. Europeans brought deadly diseases that killed Native Americans.
Settleers came to American for many different reasons. What were two important reasons?
They wanted freedom of religion and a chance to start a new life.
The New England, Middle, and Southern Colonies differeed in terms of geography and natural resources. How did this affect life in the colonies?
Different ways of life were developed in each of the regions and different forms of government.
Who were the Patriots? the Loyalist?
Patriots- American who believed that the colonies had the right to govern themselves.
Loyalist- Americans who felt a deep loyalty to Great Britain.
Why were the colonist so upset with the new taxes passed by Parliament?
"Taxation without representation"! Paraliament didn't tell colonist about the taxes a head of time and they didnt have anyone to represent them in Parliament.
