Secular Humanists believe that social institutions are more important than individual human beings. Human beings only live for 70 or 80 years, societies last for hundreds of years; therefore, societies are more important than individuals.
Christianity believes that individuals are created in the image of God and are eternal beings. Societies are temporary. However, Christians view societies as having worth because humans were created to relate to other beings. |
