Terminating Decimal:

Is a decimal that has an end.

Repeating Decimal:

Is a decimal that doesn't have an end to it.

Opposite:

2=-2 6=-6 8=-8

The opposite of a positive number is the negative of that positive number.

Inverse Operation:

operations that undo each other

Addition and Subtraction are inverse operations

Absolute Value:

The magnitude of a real number without regard to it's sign.

Simplify:

bringing a fraction down to its lowest terms.

Evaluate:
To evaluate is to find the value of a numerical or algebraic expression
Substitute:
Definition of Substitution Method. One way to solve systems of equations is by substitution. In this method, solve an equation for one variable, then substitute that solution in the other equation, and solve
Coordinate:
A coordinate is a number in an ordered pair that names the location of a point on the coordinate plane. The first number in the ordered pair is called the abscissa and the second number is the ordinate
Origin:
In mathematics, the origin of a Euclidean space is a special point, usually denoted by the letter O, used as a fixed point of reference for the geometry of the surrounding space
Proportion:

form an idea of the amount, number, or value of, assess.

Conversion:

the act or an instance of converting or the process of being converted.

Integers:

an integer is a positive or negative, whole number.

Algebraic Expression:
An algebraic expression is a mathematical phrase that can contain ordinary numbers, variables (like x or y) and operators (like add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
Coefficient:
A number or symbol multiplied with a variable or an unknown quantity in an algebraic term. For example, 4 is the coefficient in the term 4x, and x is the coefficient in x(a + b). A numerical measure of a physical or chemical property that is constant for a system under specified conditions
Like Terms:
"Like terms" are terms whose variables (and their exponents such as the 2 in x2) are the same. In other words, terms that are "like" each other. Note: the coefficients (the numbers you multiply by, such as "5" in 5x) can be different.
Variable:
Variable definition. A variable is a quantity that may change within the context of a mathematical problem or experiment. Typically, we use a single letter to represent a variable. The letters , , and are common generic symbols used for variables
Inequality:
Math Term Definition. Inequality. An inequality is like an equation that uses symbols for "less than"(<) and "greater than"(>) where an equation uses a symbol for "is equal to" (=)
Ratio:
Relation in degree or number between two similar things. The relative value of silver and gold in a currency system that is bimetallic.Mathematics A relationship between two quantities, normally expressed as the quotient of one divided by the other; for example, the ratio of 7 to 4 can be written 7:4 or 7/4
Equivalent Ratios:

ratios that are the same.

Rate:
In mathematics, a rate is the ratio between two related quantities Often it is a rate of change. If the unit or quantity in respect of which something is changing is not specified, usually the rate is per unit of time
Unit Rate:
Unit Rates. A rate is a ratio that is used to compare different kinds of quantities. A unit rate describes how many units of the first type of quantity corresponds to one unit of the second type of quantity. Some common unit rates are miles (or kilometers) per hour, cost per item, earnings per week, etc
Unit Cost:
The "Unit Price" (or "unit cost") tells you the cost per liter, per kilogram, per pound, etc, of what you want to buy. Just divide the costby the quantity: Example: 2 liters for $3.80 is $3.80/2 liters = $1.90 per liter
Cross Product:

take the top left of a fraction and multiply it with the bottom right. Then take the top right and multiply it with the bottom left.
