Auto Pack Trip Fails to Arm
This procedure is to be used when the Performance Software indicates that the auto pack trip is required for takeoff
1. Announce - NO GREEN LIGHT
2. Takeoff - Discontinue
3. Clear the Runway
4. Go to the QRH
Main Cargo Door Light / Main Cargo Door A or B light Illuminated during Takeoff Phase
(For the purpose of this procedure, the "takeoff" phase is from start of takeoff roll until flaps are completely retracted)
1. Packs - OFF
2. Airspeed - Maintain the MMS speed for the current flap setting. If the flaps are retracted, maintain "0" degree MMS
3. Go to the QRH
Landing Gear Lever Latch Failed to Release (Gear lever cannot be raised past the OFF position)
1. Flaps - ADVISE CREW NOT LESS THAN 5 DEGREES
2. Go to the QRH
Engine Fire or Failure
1. Engine Fire/Failure - ANNOUNCE
2. Essential Power - OPERATING GENERATOR
3. Download
One Eng Loss - One B pump
Two Eng Loss -
>Radar - Conditions Permitting
>Lights - Landing, Runway Turnoff, and Taxi
>FO's window heat only (even if FO is flying)
>Gasper Fan
>Pack Fan(s) - Altitude permitting - via the Pack Switches
>One B pump
4. Drag - Ensure gear up (with a positive rate)
5. Dump - As Briefed
6. Power the buses
7. Standby Rudder - if required
8. Fuel - All from #2/None from #2 (no lower than 1,000 ft AFE on T/O)
9. Checklist - AS APPROPRIATE
Fuel Dumping (review procedures in CFM for dumping with fuel in the Aux Tank(s))
1. Boost Pumps - ALL ON
2. Crossfeed Valves - TANK-TO-ENGINE
3. Dump Valves - OPEN
4. Dump Nozzles - OPEN
5. Clock - START TIMING
6. Dump - SECURE
Secure by 3,500 lb per tank or 1,000 AFE unless safety circumstances dictates otherwise.
Auto Pack Trip Reset (performed right to left)
1. Both Pack Switches - OFF
2. Pack Reset Button - PUSH
3. Auto Pack Trip Switch - CUTOUT
Split or Asymmetric Flaps
1. Add 20 kts to the MMS - ADVISE CREW
2. Go to the QRH
LED Malfunction
1. Add 20 kts to the MMS - ADVISE CREW
2. LED Configuration - VERIFY WITH SO AUX PANEL
3. Go to the QRH
Bleed Trip or Pack Trip
1. Opposite Bleed Switch (Eng 1 or 3) - OPEN
2. Opposite Pack Switch - ON
3. Pressurization - Stabilized
4. Go to the QRH
Hydraulic Quantity or Pressure Loss
1. Condition - ANNOUNCE
2. Control Wheel - CENTERED
3. Speedbrake - DETENT
4. Leaking System - DETERMINE
5. Appropriate Spoiler Switch - OFF (verified by the PM)
6. Leak Continues - APPROPRIATE PUMP SWITCHES OFF
7. Go to the QRH
System B Overheat Light
1. No 1 B Pump Switch - OFF
2. Light Goes Out - GO TO THE QRH
3. Light Stays On - NO 1 B PUMP BACK ON
4. No 2 B Pump Switch - OFF
5. Go to the QRH
Electrical Malfunction (CSD/Generator)
1. Essential Power - OPERATING GENERATOR
2. Download
a. One Gen / CSD Lost - One B Pump
b. Two Gen / CSDs Lost
> Radar - Conditions Permitting
> Lights - Landing, Runway Turnoff, and Taxi
> FO's Window Heat only (even if the FO is flying)
> Gasper Fan
> Pack Fan(s) - altitude permitting - via the Pack Switches
> One B-pump
3. Power any unpowered buses through bus ties
4. Go to the QRH
Essential Power Failure Light Illuminated
1. If there are no indications of an associated engine failure or related electrical problem, verify the Essential 115V AC Bus is operative by observing a display on the Fuel Quantity Indicators.
2. Fuel Qty Display is present - GO TO THE QRH
3. Fuel Qty Display is not present: Essential Power Selector - Select an operating Gen (3, 1, 2)
4. If Fuel Quantity display is still not present: Essential Power - STANDBY
5. Go to the QRH
Loss of All Generators on the Ground
1. Essential Power - STANDBY
2. Brake Interconnect - OPEN
3. Packs - OFF
After stopping the aircraft the Captain will decide the appropriate action to be taken and call for any necessary checklist.
Evacuation (S/O)
1. Refer to back cover of the QRH for EVACUATION CHECKLIST
Manual Gear Extension (If Required During Two Engine Inoperative Approach). This procedure should be treated as a memory item only when required to expedite aircraft landing due to the failure or both engine #1 and engine #2)
1. Control Wheel - CENTERED
2. Speedbrake - DETENT
3. System A Spoiler Switch - OFF
4. System A Pumps - OFF
5. Landing Gear Lever - OFF
6. Gear - CRANK. Procedure by memory is highly encouraged.
7. Landing Gear Lever - DOWN
8. System A Pumps - ON
Alternate Flap (If required during two engine inoperative approach)
This procedure should be treated as a memory item only when required to expedite aircraft landing due to multiple engine failures)
1. Alternate Flap Master Switch - ON
2. Flap Handle - 5 Deg (FINAL SETTING)
3. Flaps - EXTEND OR RETRACT TO 5 Deg WITHOUT STOPPING
Hold the inboard and outboard alternate flap switches until the flaps extend or retract to 5 Deg
