Hyperthyroidism

Increased t3 t4 and decreased tsh. Graves disease. Increased hr and bp. Rx: radioactive iodine threapy, tapizole, PTU, antithyroid meds

Graves' disease

Hypothyroidism

Low t3 and t4 high tsh. Slow, cold, weight gain. Decreased hr and bp. Hasimoto, moon face. Rx: synthyroid, levothyroid

Hashimoto and moon phase.

Hyperparathyroidism

High CA+ Low Ph- , high PTH. Effects bones, kidneys, abdominal, and psychiatric disturbances (think neuro). Rx: fluid challenges, surgery.

Inverse relationship of ca+ and Phos.

Hypoparathyroidism

Decreased CA and PTH. High phos. Muscle aches, tetany. Rx: calcium supplement and diet. Vitamin D to aid in CA absorption.

Tetany.

Hyper adrenal activity.

High CORTISOL and sodium, blood sugar, BP. low potassium. Moon face, facial hair. Rx: adrenalectomy. Adrenal enzyme inhibitors.

Cushings

Hypo adrenal activity

Low CORTISOL, blood sugar, sodium, BP. Increased potassium. Nausea, headaches, sweating, agitations, sleep disturbances. Rx: oral cortisol, sodium tabs, sugar supplements.

Diabetes insipidous

Low sodium, high urine output. (Specific gravity low). Blood sodium high, high osmolarity. Copious amounts of pale urine. Low BP, High HR. Rx: desmopressin

D as in deficiency.

SIADH

high urine sodium, low urine output ( high specific gravity). Low sodium, low osmolarity. Lethargic, fatigue, decreased LOC. Rx: restrict fluids, oral sodium, Lasix.

I of ADH
