1. Absolutely no drinking in the House, outside the House, or anywhere without the permission of the Line Captain. Any pledgee reported drinking will be summarily dismissed without a hearing.

2. Absolutely no smoking while in the House or within one block therefrom in every direction.

3. Pledgees will promptly answer the telephone in the prescribed manner.

4. Absolutely no gambling or card playing. This means no gambling of any kind whatsoever.

7. Pledge buttons must be worn at all times, including attendance at school.

9. Pledgees must politely and instantly comply with all requests of Brothers, provided the Initiation Team has given consent.

14. The prescribed manner for answering the telephone is: “Good Morning, Good Afternoon, or Good Evening [whichever the case may be]. This is Alpha Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Herein reside a select group of the finest gentlemen on God’s green earth. With which of them do you wish to discourse?”
