Battle of Fredricksburg

1.) The South leaders were Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee, the North had Joseph Hooker.


2.) The winners were again the South.


3.) Both Hooker and Lee split their forces into 2 in Virginia. Some stayed back to defend Fredericksburg from the North, then one group went to Chancellorsville, and the second caught the Union by surprise.


4.) Stonewall Jackson died because one of the Confederate soldiers shot him on accident. His arm was then amputated.

Battle of Chancellorsville

1.) The 54th Massachusetts was made up by African Americans.


2.) The 54th had a famous assault at Fort Wanger.


3.) The white soldiers were mad at the Africans in every way.

1.) The North had Meade as their leader and the South had Robert E. Lee as their leader.


2.) The North finally won this battle.


3.) Pickett's charge no where helped the loss for the South.


4.) Since the South lost that means they don't get help from France or Great Britain.

Battle of Gettysburg

1.) This is when Pickett and his men went full charge at the Union.


2.) This is pretty much what made the South lose. Everyone in the group got killed.


3.) Lee tried to use this strategy to create a big panic and make the North leave/surrender.

Pickett’s Charge

1.) The Siege of Vicksburg took place in Vicksburg, Mississippi. By the Mississippi River.


2.) The North leader was Ulysses Grant and Robert E. Lee was the leader of the South.


3.) Vicksburg is the town/city that controlled the Mississippi River.


4.) The Siege of Vicksburg took 47 days to end.


5.) The Siege was meant to distract the South while the North captured the Port of Hudson.
