Border States

1.They are Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, Missouri.




2.They are because slavery was legal in all the states but none of them really had slaves.




3. The states where important because Missouri controlled parts of the Mississippi River, Kentucky controlled parts of the Ohio river, Delaware was close to Philadelphia, and Maryland was close by to Richmond.

1.The Norths strategy was to stop supplies from getting to Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana, and to cut off trade to European Countries.
