**MAX IS 6 mg BID

Monitoring: Weight, rivastigmine can cause weight loss (PATCH)

Side effects: GI, N/V, weight loss

Switching from PO to patch

po dose ,6 mg daily = 4.6mg pacth
po dose, 6-12 mg daily - 9.5 mg patch

Antidote: Tertiary anticholinergics such as atropine: 1 - 2 mg IV and titrate up

Synergistic with AChEI; often used in conjunction w/ Aricept (donepezil)
