Becouse the shutdown button notifies all internal components that it is shutting down before power is lost. Again, an improper shutdown will affect the disc write cache.

yes becouse the software could be trying to accsess ram that other software is usingin the same space.
What is a dll and what does it stand for?
dll stands for dynamic link library. It is microsofts implimentation of shared files. Dynamic files can be modified and static files can not.
What are the possible causes of missing dll's?
-A program was installed and it removed a dll file from your machine.

-A new program was installed and it replaced the existing dll file

A bad installation occured and it corrupted the dll file

A dickback deleted it

A bad hardrive corruped the DLL.

System dll's and application dll's
What can you do to troubleshoot an application dll?
You can repair the installation with the application installer.

You could unisntall the application then reinstall

You could restore the system to a prior restore point.
What can you do to troubleshoot a system dll file?
Restore to a restore point or use the command prompt and run sfc /scannow which will scan all files and replace incorrect versions of files with the correct ones.
How do you verify that an application shortcut is not functioning properly?
Locate the .exe file in computer and run the application through that. If it works then you know you have an issue with the shortcut.
How do you resolve a shortcut issue on an application?
You must go into the application properties and edit the path in short-cut. (ask iver about variables.)
How do you disable a service that you suspect is causing problems?
in msconfig in the command prompt.

Describe the boot process of a PC
Power is supplied and post is innitiated. The boot files of the os along with drivers are loaded then the os loads.

POST power on self test power is supplied to the processor which uses an address to load the bios. The bios includes routines that check and initialize hardware the cmos settings then configure the system according to how the user configured it.
What happens in the boot process after POST?
The bios passes control to the boot loader program to boot off of the device configured in the cmos. the mbr then loads the os.

Volume boot record. It is the first sector of a partition that defines the location of the boot loader code within the partition.
