Over the history, red meats was accused as the most “unhealthy food” due to it contains a lot of fat inside and it is food from an animal’s body. It had always been blamed for causing all kinds of heart attacks, obesities and cancers. There are all kinds of researches that were done by universities and health departments to say red meats are bad. People believe that all the bad issues that happens to your body is because of red meat but is that true? On the other side, there are also scientist that are releasing researches about red meat actually has a lot of iron and rich in vitamins. As a super red meat lover, I’ll be finding out if it is really unhealthy, or is it just a myth.

I have learnt that there isn’t really correct or model answer for if red meat is really healthy or unhealthy, it just depends on how your body takes it and the amount. The bottom line for the recommended amount daily for red meat is three ounce and in my opinion, I think if we don’t go pass that bottom line, there isn’t really a big problem of eating red meat. We shouldn’t avoid eating red meat because it also has a lot of minerals that our body need to keep us healthy so I think we should eat it still. We should not avoid eating but it doesn’t mean we could have a large amount too because the negative side still exist so sometime we could go and have some as a treat for a fair amount. Even though it is fine to have some red meat in a period of time as a treat but some people’s body structure means that they couldn’t take red meat because of the high amount of saturated fat inside. In conclusion, my opinion is that we shouldn’t avoid eating red meat but we need to control the amount we eat so that no negative effects come to your
