I am a Washington Army National Guard soldier and a merchandise receiver for Amazon Fulfillment and I’m interested in your posting for Retail Sales Coach position at Cabela’s. I obtained an Associates in Criminal Justice and an Associates of Arts from Pierce College in Lakewood, WA in 2016. I started in the Army in 2000 and transitioned to the National Guard in 2006. My current responsibilities consist of managing a team of 6 to ensure all required equipment is serviceable and at hand. Many times in my career I have been handpicked by the higher management to fill the role of a leader two levels higher than mine. I take pride in being a Sergeant in the Army National Guard after 16 years of service. I know my experience and character is well paired to the requisites of this position and I will be a great asset to your company. …show more content…
I started as a private and made my way to Sergeant. I started in the Army as a Heavy Equipment Operator and later transitioned to a Unit Supply Specialist. I have three deployments overseas. During my second deployment I was picked by my Battalion Commander to train the first Afghanistan National Army’s Engineer platoon because of my operation skill set and leadership ability. This gave me a chance to grow as a leader and mentor. My third deployment I was picked to be a Military Liaison for my company. This position is one that normally is given to Commissioned Officers not Non-Commissioned Officers like myself. My experience is very broad and I am known to be a quick study.
