Growing up in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas I wanted nothing more than to leave home and see the world. Therefore, at 18 years old I found myself doing just that as I entered the gates of Marine Corps Recruit Depot- Parris Island to earn the title of United States Marine. After months of follow on training I arrived at my first duty station in North Carolina.
Primarily an Intelligence Analyst by trade, the opportunity arose for me to work as an Executive Assistant for a two-star Major General exposing me to a side of the Military that even most retirees never even get the privilege to experience. My most memorable moment being in the skies above Helmand Province, Afghanistan and the General teaching the young Lance Corporal me how to fly a KC-130J over the combat zone. The level of trust that was placed in me that day by our commander was indescribable!
After my tour working in the Office of the Commanding General, I returned to the Intelligence Community as a Full Motion Video Analyst where I analyzed real-time happenings from our Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), or drones until transitioning out of the Marines.

There has been a great level of fulfillment in stepping out into the world as a “Momtrepreneur” and actually turning a profit, however, I have always found myself drawing back to my childhood ambitions for a career in Forensic Science. This is why after a 2-year break from College; I have changed my degree plan from a Bachelor of Art in History to a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice to finish out my last 2 years of undergraduate school with the desire to continue on to a Masters in Forensics
