I'm constantly trying to find different perspectives to look at situations, but its always from my perspective. Jasleen Aujla January 5th, 2015 CLN4U0 Mr. Gill THE SEXUAL OFFENDERS REGISTRY: NOT CRIMINALLY RESPONSIBLE REGISTRANTS Out of the many ironic injustices found in the Canadian justice system, there is perhaps none as tragic as the fate of those who have been found not criminally responsible (NCR) of committing a sexual crime. Instead of allowing for those who have been unfairly accused to repent in solitude, their past haunts them in the form of The Sexual Offenders Registry. It is completely unreasonable to add people who have been found to be NCR of a sexual offence in the Sexual Offenders Registry, as those individuals are less likely to reoffend, have already compensated for the act through psychological rehabilitation, and most importantly,…

Whether we know it or not in this modern society we are writers everyday of our lives. These interactions shape not only how we communicate but how we write as well. Personally, I have been shaped by the influence of both other writers I have known and those I have only read the creations of. Those same influences contributed to both my writing style in the classroom and to my identity as a writer. I spent a lot of my childhood with my nose deep in fiction novels at near by libraries.…

Memoirist Patricia Hampl, in her writing “Memory and Imagination,” stated that one who refuses to write about his/her life has no life (34). While generally agreeing with some of the other memoirist views, I believe this statement to be naïve. Specifically, I strongly believe that, just as people develop, grieve, and learn differently, people reflect upon their lives in different manners. Some people may find meditation useful, while others need therapy or an external source to help them organize their thoughts. Personally, I have found that simply reflecting on my life as I lay in bed each night attempting to fall asleep is more than enough to give my life meaning.…
