Religious and cultural groups have been practicing their traditions and rituals for centuries and have been able to use water as freely as they want and as they should. Water is considered sacred to many cultures and religions. Water is used for baptisms, blessings, religious festivities and practices, and is also known as a source for healing to some cultures. To ration the usage of water for this particular group is unjust and telling religious and cultural people that they are now limited to the water they are able to use for their practices is very offending and almost demoralizing. That being said, water usage should be lenient towards the religious and ethnic groups. One other perspective of water resource that was a huge concern was economics. Economics plays a huge roll with resource distribution and making sure that it not only is distributing products fair within a city or state but fair within the country. It is hard to keep up with the economics if not educated enough above certain problematic issues. Economics has to make sure that whatever laws or rules are set, that it is fair and just for the people residing in the states and country. It is one of the most used and essential item used by the people in this world. The government, president or anyone else that has some power should not restrict water usage. When the time comes authorities should devise a plan on how to go about this if this does become an issue in the future. There is just no way that families, employers, and people in the community could be monitored for this specific issue. You can not be restricted from something that has been given naturally from mother nature and had been used for centuries. It is impossible to control the water system without some sort of bad repercussion. The issues discussed in class has really opened my eyes to how arising issues can become an even bigger problem, unless we start thinking of plans now. It is saddening that this is what the world has come to, to limit things from people because of a growing population.
