“The Texas Water Development Board(TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $270,000 to the City of San Juan (Hidalgo County)…The assistance will finance planning, design and land acquisition for first-time waste water service ”(The Texas Water Development Board). The government has been of aid by providing financial aid assistance to counties that have a large percentage of their water contaminated. By improving the water facilities in the city of San Juan, the government is helping to minimize the number of people who are going to be ill in the future. Also by doing this, it creates a better environment for the upcoming generation by preserving clean water .Although the Texas government has shown its interest in helping its people, it is best for the government to understand that prevention is best than cure. By this, it means that it’s the Texas government responsibility to make sure that oil and gasoline companies follow strict guidelines on how they extract their oil from one location to another in order to minimize the number oil spillage.
