Tyler and his management team meet regularly with corporate procurement to review and negotiate the terms of raw material contracts. The Tolko Sales team holds weekly meetings where Tyler and his team meet and discuss sales strategies, customer claims, and complaints, as well as news on what Tolko's competitors are doing and what the sales forecasts and markets are looking like for short term and the long term. Tyler and his team can review this information and adjust the operating plan, or take corrective action.
The American Panel Association (APA) is the accrediting agency that allows TA to produce OSB and sell it in the North American market. Tyler is ultimately responsible for the Quality of TA's products and therefore is the signing authority on quality and must be made aware of regulatory changes in OSB grading and ensure that changes are implemented within the timelines and expectations of the APA.
TA’s involvement in the community is something that Tyler takes very serious in his role. Tyler is an active Tolko representative in the Slave Lake Chamber of Commerce.
