Being able to teach your child to use the toilet will take time, understanding, and most importantly patience. The important thing you need to remember is that you cannot rush your child to being using the toilet. Most children begin to demonstrate signs that they are ready to use the toilet between 18 and 24 months of age. If you think your child is ready to begin toilet training a question you can ask yourself is, does my child stays dry for at least two hours during the day and wakes up from naps dry? The answer to the question will indicate you that your child is able to stay dry for an extended period of time.
