The Pros And Cons Of Gun Control

Why is it that Guns cause so much catastrophe? Gun control is a topic that is often fought over. It is a very controversial subject throughout many states. Many people say that a gun should be prohibited to carry around, while others say it should not be prohibited to carry a gun. People should have the right to carry guns due to the following three reasons: it is our second amendment right; people have to have gun licenses to carry one; it’s not the guns doing the killing. It is our constitutional right to carry guns. In an extravagant number of court cases dealing with home invasion, murder, and gun possession the ruling is debatable due to this amendment. In early 1900 court cases, judges gave states the right to create their own gun laws (Brooks). This gives many people mixed emotions because on occasions the cases that end up in court are the same but have different outcomes. Every state has their own separate gun laws, which does not always coexist with what the second amendment says.
Even with these states having different gun laws, the states that people are allowed to carry guns licenses are needed to do so. In every situation in which someone carries a gun, from hunting to just using for self-defense, licensing is a must. All states, on the other hand, do have restrictions on their laws.
