It is known to numerous groups of people that sociologists focus on the “collective” study of human society, indicating that these highly qualified specialists focus on human interactions between the individual and the overall group. Thus, sociologists throughout the world have studied an unfathomable number of different groups and cultures in order to comprehend their overarching social structure. Although sociologists have discovered thousands of diverse groups and cultures through their research, there is now an existing tribe of people that sociologists have neglected to study in year’s past: The Lipups.

The Lipups tribe execute most of their work in a specified area, usually consisting of rows of sources used as a facilitator in order to make their task less complicated. These rows of material contain individual pieces and artifacts that date back to different time periods. From the prehistoric era to the current history of The Lipups tribe, these artifacts known as “slevons” help the tribe members to complete their daily tasks. However, upon the tribe’s discovery, it was found that the once essential “slevons” are rapidly diminishing due to the latest technological advancement. To the Lipups tribe, this modern advancement is a gift from the Gods, as it allows for a better and more efficient work ethic. The technology used today contains a radioactive form of the Sun that is implanted in a box. This radioactive material is then converted by the Gods into a safe and reliable form of technology that allows the members of the tribe to work efficiently. The Lipups tribe worship this piece of technology daily, as it allows the citizens to complete what is necessary. Therefore, it is shown throughout the tribe’s history that the origin of this facility is primarily due to a strong focus on an ideal work

Throughout history, the relation of individuals to society and vice versa has been a puzzling conundrum. Humans generally tend to understand the world as through an individualistic outlook with respect to their own experiences and lives. However, sociologists such as C. Wright Mills and Allan Johnson disagree and relate the importance of a “sociological imagination.” According to Mills, the sociological imagination is “a quality of mind” that allows its possessor to use information and develop reason in order to establish an understanding and a desire to apprehend the relationship between social and historical structures and one’s biography, or essentiality their experiences and individual lives (Mills 3).…

The most recent theory is that archaeologists believe that the Roanoke people divided into two groups and absorbed into the Native American culture. The first group went to Cape Creek and the other group went 50 miles northwest of Roanoke. In 1998, archaeologists found some very interesting things on their journey. When archaeologists went to Cape Creek they found a ring that dates back to the 16th century, a slate with a pencil beside it, and other items that could not have come from the Native Americans, because they lacked the resources. The other group used one of John White’s maps to come to conclude that they were 50 miles northwest of Roanoke.…

We believe the tribes to be specifically the Lumbee tribe, because a couple years later there were reports that they had English weapons and clothes, and already spoke and read English. Some evidence to support this claim is from John White's diary, (or the first website in our reference page,)”this could be no other but the deed of the savages our enemies at Dasamongwepeuk, who had watched the departure of our men to Croatoan.” That indicates that they did go to a native American tribe of some kind. The reason we think there was a drought is because in 1998 an “architect at the college of William and Mary named Dennis Blanton published a paper in science reporting the result of a tree ring analysis of some very, very old bald cypress in Virginia. Blanton himself described his finding as incredible.…

Prior to taking this sociology class I was unaware of how much sociology applied my everyday life and that’s where sociological imagination comes into play. Sociological imagination is the “ability to see the impact of social forces on our private lives” (p.18).
