My Experience As An Effective Communication Practitioner

The experiment To help with my problem, I tried to forget about what others thought of me and tried to express myself. Some days my experiment with myself saw better results than others. The amount of stress on myself impacted how well I could focus on the experiment. Over the last few weeks, I have been trying to be more open with my emotions and communicating with others more often. I found myself expressing my feelings more often, which is a sign that I am starting to trust others more. Every night I would go home and talk about my day whether something excited happened or not. I tried to talk more often than just when I felt comfortable talking about my personal life. Talking about my personal life has been a struggle for me in the past …show more content…
“The better we are at communication, the more effective we are at achieving hopes and dreams”.7As a practitioner, it is important to communicate effectively with other health care providers to improve the outcome for the patients. The first step to being able to communicate effectively is to be comfortable with who you are talking to, this involves confidence in oneself. By building up my confidence in communicating with others I will be able to voice my opinions on a topic which could potentially improve the work environment, As a practitioner, it is important to have effective communication between others in the workplace; communication is needed in order for other to achieve their goals and objectives. “Effective communication by pharmacists is essential to improve the use of medications by patients and ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes”.11 One of the main responsibilities of a pharmacist is to educate patients on their medications; pharmacists can play a great role in improving patient adherence to drug therapy through counseling and educating patients on their medications.
