What school professionals fail to realize is that not all students learn the same because no two minds are alike. A student at times might feel inferior to his/her other classmates for not understanding what everyone else seems to understand. This can cause a loss of confidence for the desire to learn and make the student not want to participate in class in fear of saying the wrong answer. By including student’s personal interests in daily actives and lessons, this can help raise the student’s desire to learn and increase participation in class because they are learning about something they know all about and enjoy doing. By teaching students to view their interests in a different way, you are also teaching them to construct, visualize, analyze, and advance in both their physical and mental abilities as well. A great example of this would be a Football Game. Notice how the coach always draws out the game plan on the board and explains to his team the keys to winning the game.
