Canada is known as a safe and peaceful nation but that status alone does not stop us from focusing on the security issues other countries may be facing, which dominate the attention of the world. It is not a delicate subject but unfortunately on the face of reality is that their terrorist groups, called the Levant and Middle Eastern groups called the Islamic State of Iraq that engage in extremist and violent acts to promote their causes in order to gain supporters to their ideology. Ironically, these groups are neither a state nor an Islamic one by their titles, but rather called as Daesh by the Arabic tongue. Other activities recognized as a criminal one within this definition include death and bodily harm through the use of violence; along with endangering someone's life, engagement in activities that pose a health and safety risk of the public, property damage (s), systems and facilities, or hence interfering and disrupting of essential services. With different definition or explanations of this term by other nations operating under the law systems, it is difficult to have a concrete explanation of what terrorism really is. The term may range or adopted by other nations but the activity of it and its influences are very substantial, whether it is for the purposes of inducing new changes to society, to threaten the government; it strikes traumatic fear to society as a whole. Designed to produce an overreaction and it succeeds at that almost all the time. As societies tend to close themselves off and governments use tactics that restrict and infringe upon everyone. The activity of terrorism has been around for a long time and it has not been resolved from society, but rather modified in its form, technique, strategy and recruitment advance with the advantage of technology it has developed to the use of commercial airliners as weapons of mass destruction, followed by the threat of chemical and biological assaults on our air, water and bodies. The eye of the beholder determines how they view the word Terrorism and depending on what group they are executing the extremist act; described variously as both a tactic and strategy; a crime and a holy duty; a justified reaction to oppression and an inexcusable abomination.
