Unit-6 Essay Assignment To begin, terrorism is the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims or gains. According to the National Advisory Committee on Criminal Justice Standards and Goals, there are six distinct types of terrorism. They all have the same agenda which is to be powerful in gaining mass property and sparking fear by taking the lives of innocent people. Civil disorder which is considered a very violent way object a political policy or action plan. The same way that society views Muslim people is the exact same way that the criminal justice process treats them which is unfair I believe. Because a person is Muslim the criminal system believe they are most likely to be a terrorist and automatically start monitoring individuals just because they are Muslim. For instance, Muslims are placed on watch list for one reason and that is because they are Muslim is really unfair to the individuals who do not take part in any violent or terrorist activities. The victims of crimes are served by being guaranteed that the individuals carrying out the crimes will be held accountable to their actions. Terrorist usually do not have the right to be represented by an attorney and are usually held in American Terrorist prison or jails for a long …show more content…
With this group I chose to discuss I learned a lot of new things about this particular group of people. I learned that all Muslim people are not a part of a terrorist organization. Also, most Muslim people are grouped with people who share the same beliefs with respect to the religion they chose to take part in. On the other hand, I learned that there are those Muslim people who really believe violence and killing is the right thing to do. In order to get their message across or to be heard they really have to go out trying to kill groups on innocent people. For me personally I just do not get it that these people would do any and everything to get their message across even if that means taking their own life to justify or make a point. But as I stated before this is not just an issue going on only in the Muslim population, this is happens with all populations some people will just do anything possible to make someone else miserable, unhappy, and or even
