The counseling technique of coaching comes in various ways and types to the counseling field. Professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Coaches’ help people improve their performances and enhance the quality of their lives. Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach’s job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources and creativity that the client already has.”(Paterson, 2008). …show more content…
To assess the client outcome there is good evidence from measuring the psychophysiological changes in the client that reflect the client’s emotional changes during counseling (Rantanen & Soini, 2013). It seems that many times client’s problems are connected to withdrawal behavior and the incapacity to seeing the possibilities for action (Rantanen & Soini 2013). This correlates with the stage that the counselor should make sure progression is being done by their client. This builds upon the self-esteem factor that has occurred within the therauptic session. Progression shows how the information from the counselor was obtained by the client.
A description of clinical coaching is relational to multiple ways in the health field. Clinical Coaching involved a five-step systematic approach that included comprehensive assessment; demonstration of skills; supervision of one to one remedial practice sessions; provision of feedback and finally debriefing.( Kelton,2014).
The self-efficacy aspect about the counseling session is the formation that one counselor is doing. High level self-efficacy shows a proactive effect on challenges and difficulties and help to develop a successful orientation period in various stressful circumstances (Skaalvik & Skaalvik, 2007). Psychological endurance means a person’s ability to get over the problems to succeed after facing many troubles, problems or negative situations (Luthans, et al, 2006).
