Space is a Gift Look in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No it’s one of NASA’s rockets! What do you think they’re doing? They’re exploring space of course! Why would they do that? Every day, you’ll hear people say, “space is a waste,” but I don’t think that's true. Don’t believe me? Believe the facts. According to the text “Space: Let’s Go!” by Rick Washington, “NASA created Velcro which is now used in many clothing items, bags and so forth.” There are many more things to be discovered in space that will be very useful to us. Space discoveries are amazing. Not only did we create Velcro, we have created an orbiting satellite that led us to discover smartphones and the internet!
