In my life, helping people has always been an extremely important factor to me. It is a feeling within that has always pushed me towards trying to give advice, be as resourceful as I can, listen to others problems and concerns, and just be that voice for an individual if they’re not being heard. By continuing my education as a future social worker, I believe I can be a supportive and caring member of society. Throughout life, run into difficulties that makes them feel like everything is impossible and giving up. In my opinion, it more beneficial with how the passion to help give the service rather the just letting the service stand alone. There has to be someone willing to give their all in order for that service to truly be beneficial. I consider myself that person. Helping people overcome obstacles and supporting those in the care system is such a puzzling yet rewarding career. …show more content…
Working alongside those in hospitals/clinics, educators, caregivers and parents entails a very significant role that social workers pose. Social work is seeking to improve the quality of life and subjective well-being of individuals, couples, families, groups and communities through research, policy, community organizing, direct practice, crisis intervention, and teaching for the benefit of those affected by social disadvantages such as poverty, mental and physical illness or disability, and social injustice, including violations of their civil liberties and human rights. My inspiration is to better the lives of children and families. When it comes to caring for children and families that has always been a strong passion of mine. Having a nephew with ADHD and ADD and being shipped from different foster homes and group homes has really helped me gain a lot of personal knowledge and experience in this area.
