These are some facts about why you should not let your teen smoke tobacco.These are some statistics on people who have smoked tobacco.I think that the kids who smoke tobacco in school should be punished for their actions.

Too many high school and middle school students are smoking tobacco.
24.6% of all high school students had used tobacco at least once in the last 30 days,20.9% female, 28.3% male(Teen Smoking Statistics). This is a lot of high school students who smoke out of the 31,000 high schools in the US. 7.7% of all middle school students reported using a tobacco product on at least 1 of the 30 previous days,6.6% female, 8.8% male(Teen Smoking Statistics). That is a lot of middle school students out of the 99,000 middle schools in the US. I think that high schools and middle schools should have conscious for kids who smoke.

Nearly 90% of adult smokers began smoking before age 18 and 11 percent of high school seniors reported smoking in the last month(Trends in Adolescent Tobacco Use). That is a big percentage of people who smoke tobacco in high schools when very few high school students smoke tobacco. Approximately 440,000 Americans die each year from diseases related to smoking tobacco(Teen Smoking Statistics). That is a lot of people who die a year from smoking, 440,000 people out of 55.3 million die each year from smoking. I think we should either outlaw smoking tobacco, or make more rehabs for people who smoke so we don’t have as many deaths as we already
