The evolution in humans has developed to acquire certain characteristics that people need to survive. Humans need sensations to be able to understand what can hurt them, or what stimulates them to react. This term sensation relates to me the most because without the ability to register and understand what is going on around me, it would have kept me from being able to do my job in the military. All sensations are important; however, certain sensations can be more useful than others. Being blind, can be overcome by people developing a unique acute hearing, to where …show more content…
We humans learn in many different ways three to be exact non-associative, associative, and watching others. I learn from watching others and using my hands. When taking courses to understand my job in the military the classroom sitting was a pain for me. It was more of an associative, reading and watching videos, and doing some form of writing. However, when it was time to do the job, the instructors would go over what we had to do, then that was when I exceeded from others. Students would take a few attempts in making the equipment work, to where I saw the instructors do it once, and then I had finished in first try. I learn from watching others if I needed to do a task I first needed to watch another person perform that task, then I was like a robot and could do exactly what they did with minimal errors. However, learning in a college in a formal education sitting, I have the absolute difficult times in trying to understand what I am reading, and visualizing what I am shown, or told. I have to constantly find new ways in becoming an active learner because otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to pass my courses. Learning is a basic skill that everyone has from when they’re first born. Learning is simple for me I just have to find ways in becoming a better learner than just reading the chapter. For instance, in my job in the military I had to perform maintenance on a fighter jet, which that was easy for me because it’s all the same movements, inspections, procedures for each fighter jet, but when having to learn certain weapons onto the fighter jet there are many procedures that have to be done. If the procedures are not done correctly then the weapon would not work, or something can happen to were the Navy is out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. So by creating flashcards I learned those procedures, and helped me better understand. It helped me to
