There are three main competitors in the industry: Amway, Avon Products, and Proctor and Gamble. The competition of these three industries are based on factors, such as size of company, location, member service, and quality of merchandise and selection. Amway International is one of the world's largest direct-sales businesses and having more than 3 million independent agents selling its catalog of more than 450 products in more than 100 countries. This company has served more than 71 million households since its beginning. Operations outside of the US generate about 80% of sales; these sales are mainly in Asia. Amway recorded approximately 8.8 billion in direct selling in 2016.
