Ryerson Report Components

The Ryerson report, is made up of multiple components in regards to the improvement of the educational system. The one component that is far more vital than the others is proper teaching within the education system. This paper is not stating that the other components do not have any value, but without proper teaching, all of the other components are meaningless. All of the components within the report have value, but without the proper implementation in the school system, they will have little effect on the students. To successfully implement the changes within the Ryerson report, competent teachers are needed. Once again though, these new methods of teaching can only be achieved through the competence of a teacher’s abilities and their willingness to make a change to their previous teaching style. The report lists a wide range of teachable subjects, which Ryerson believes will better the students. The ability to teach all of the listed subjects in a manner other than through traditional memorization is a difficult task, which not every person wanting to teach can handle. The proper employment of teachers must be a priority if there is to be change in the educational system. Without the proper selection of educators, no progress within the report can be met. The ideas within the Ryerson report have the potential to be effective, but it is up to the educators within the schooling system to properly teach in the methods needed. The need for the employment of proper teachers, who are able to teach Ryerson’s new curriculum is a must if there is any chance of bettering both the students and the overall society.
