The progressive reforms during the period 1890-1915 in the areas of urban life and politics were only partially successful, with some reforms working out more than others, but were overall very successful. Joining the New Visions program was one of the wisest decisions I have made. When nurses that I shadow at Unity Hospital express how jealous they are that they didn’t have a program like this when they were in high school, it reminds me to take advantage of this opportunity that not every student receives. I am confident that when I graduate college, I will be able to recollect this program, and how it led me to be successful. I will reminisce about the long hours dedicated to each college-level assignment in determination to receive a grade in the high 90’s, or that moment when I witnessed a five pound baby be born from a cesarean delivery, or even when I stood next to the operating table observing a total knee replacement surgery, while the surgeon and nurses took the time to teach me about what they were doing--an opportunity that not even college nursing students were able to see. Throughout high school, I have been involved in many activities. I started off with the STEM academy in my high school. In the STEM academy, we held special events that teach people, especially kids, about new experiments and science-related careers. Research Addendum The sex trafficking of children would be conducive to investigate using participatory action research. In order to further examine and understand dynamics in relation to children and their sexual exploitation naturalist inquiry would be appropriate. By being able to study in further detail the experiences of victims, traffickers, agency professionals that interact with victims, and community providers investigative data can be obtained that can aid in understanding dynamics surrounding victim trauma and the secretive environment that is bolstered, intricacies in relation to the asserted control by traffickers, and strengths ad barriers of current interventions. Action Plan (Start) From January through September, I am very busy with baseball and softball because I am the head coach for both my son and daughter 's team. When you add this to an already busy family schedule and work as a full time student, free time is not something readily available. An event in my life that will influence my academic goals at CCU was the passing of my mother on 09/16/2015. She passed so suddenly that we weren’t prepared, neither mentally nor financially. We didn’t know how we were going to pay for her services but God allowed generous people to be moved to donate to our memorial fund. We reached our goal and then some and it was just so inspiring, I felt God was with me and my siblings every step of the way. When she passed God gave me His peace and allowed me to grieve supernaturally quickly.…
My Action Plan During this semester, I have discovered useful information about myself, and as I move forward, I will be using the various learning tools and skills. However, before deciding how to improve my methods of learning plan, I took the time to review my transcripts/advising worksheet.
