Millions of people will be turned down and not be able to go to America, but if we choose to let them in, there’s the possibility of terrorist attacks. Letting in over a million people will not only be a risk to the lives of Americans, but it will also make a large impact in the economy. I believe that it will be better to not let them in. To get a better understanding of what will happen, we can look at Europe as an example. The European Union has made some countries take part in helping the refugees. Even though some stick to what they say and just want a better life, others are either just living off of welfare provided by the government or they’re attacking the innocent lives of the Europeans. Attacks on European cities like Paris and Brussels let the European Union know that some of the Syrian refugees were actually spies sent by ISIS. When my dad and I were in Europe last summer, we would look in the newspaper and notice that there was a terrorist attack in a European city every other day. One example is a Syrian refugee in Germany that killed a pregnant woman and eight others using a machete. With bad experiences with terrorism already, America should know …show more content…
Tuesday, November 8 will be an important day in American history. It is when everyone finds out who the next president will be: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Both of these people have flaws in their decision about what to do about the Syrian Immigration issues. Donald Trump said “We have to stop the tremendous flow of Syrian refugees into the United States. We don't know who they are. They have no documentation and we don't know what they're planning." What he means by this is that we are not sure about what the future has in store for us, and we can not take the risk of letting in the Syrians who could harm the lives of Americans. The problem with his plan is that he does not have a plan in helping the Syrians escape terrorists. We have to remember that they are also humans with emotions and the ability to think on their own. They need help getting back on their feet. Hillary Clinton is the other president nominee. Hillary Clinton stated “We're facing the worst refugee crisis since the end of World War II and I think the United States has to do more. I would like to see us move from what is a good start with 10,000 to 65,000 and begin immediately to put into place the mechanisms for vetting the people that we would take in.” With Hillary’s plan, it does provide Syrians with help, but it’s as if Hillary has forgotten what has happened to America in the past and what has been happening in Europe lately.
