Proctoring means a student will be taking an online exam under the supervision of someone or a proctoring exam provider. The reason the University of the People has this requirement is to ensure academic honesty by the student body and to ensure the integrity of its online programs. According to the University proctor policies, a proctor must be at least 21 or older, should have no personal or financial interest, should be a person of good character and integrity, and should have access to internet. Who should not be selected to be a proctor due conflict of interest are the following; relatives of the student, co-workers, and friends.
