Progressive reformers put every effort into making America better. These progressive reformers you mentioned are great. They all had the same goal: to solve economic and social problems that were plaguing the system. They went about went about making changes in different level. Jane Addams, Washington Gladden, and W. E. B. Du Bois made changes at the grassroots level while Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson made changes at the government level.
