program will begin with solving potential issues that cause teachers want to leave such as low academic performance of students, lack of interactions between teachers and students, and student’s low interest in class. Based on the problems that have been mentioned above, the plan of this program will mainly about helping teachers become more prepared, and creating a more comfortable class environment for the student, and improving the social skills of teachers that makes students feel more comfortable and welcomed. For this project, we will first begin by building a program conference to organize the workshop. In order to achieve this step, we will first gather experienced and teachers from the OUSD and teacher training organizations to build the program conference, which is going to set a standard to decide which schools are going to hold the workshops. This way we will know that our program is benefiting the schools in the most need, and it will save our budget for later uses in teaching materials during the workshops. After the program conference applies the standard to each school, the conference will have two weeks to set curriculums and plans for the training workshop, and the conference will start recruit the teachers who want to attend the workshop. …show more content…
The problem of teacher turnover rates is the root of our solution to other related issues such as low academic performance of students due to the lack of teaching resources. By exterminating the problem of teacher turnover rates in the OUSD, the Profession for Progression! program helps further the education system in the community community in general. The end goal of the Profession for Progression! program is to solve the problem of teacher turnover rates by encouraging teachers to learn and improve through this free training program. The workshop will improve teachers’ teaching skill to ensure the class is effective and interesting since we believe that the students will also have higher chances of passing their school years and go to further education when their teachers are more equipped after a year of professional training. We also want to make sure teachers learn how to build a better relationship with students, so they will have a healthier class environment to make them want to stay in their job. Also, when teachers are satisfied and willing to stay at their site, the school is able to receive better reputation, which can attract more students to enroll and get an education. Overall, the Profession for Progression! program will be accomplished by applying organized and professional workshop to schools in the OUSD that meet the standard
