Prestige Urgent Care has many goals they are trying to achieve. When they first opened one of many goals were to have more than 100 members. Once that was reached the clinic believed it can reach to a even higher amount over 500. We are currently over 600 members for HD contracts and for business contracts over 400 members. I believe with the affordable price of the membership we are able to gain members. A few more strengths besides the low cost membership that’s month to month, the providers at the clinic have a long history of practicing family medicine and have experience in the ER, it has a great reputation and many people enjoy the excellent service. Being employed at Prestige the providers and office manager encourages growth for their employees. They give people room to grow and learn individually. For my own personal goal working there I gain knowledge and experience within the medical office setting. Example I learned how to give patient a nebulizer treatment. Which is a treatment that helps patient’s breath …show more content…
When someone gets hired they go through a training course. Depending which position the person is hired depends on who trains the new employee. I have trained more than three new hires for front office. I would ask if they ever worked front office before and go from there to train the new employee. The first day is usually shadowing someone who is in the same job description as the new hire. After that goes through the day alternating turns so the new employee understand what is expected for their job description. When the office manager is around they would also guide the new employer on things that the trainer can’t explain or help clarify. At the moment a weaknesses for Prestige Urgent Care is being understaffed. When a coworker has an emergency or is sick it’s hard have another coworker cover their shifts.
Managing functions is the center role of an organizations. The opportunity of expanding the business has been one of many discussions. The clinic would like to add more to the services that we give to members and nonmembers. There is an discussion on having a on-site pharmacy for patient and expanding to different cities. Creating steps and finding how and where to start will guide towards achieving these goals. When the clinic expand it can gain strong referral system with other speciality
