Even though a woman can dress up in a red suit and put on a white fluffy fake beard, that doesn’t mean that they will resemble the actual Santa. When you see a fake beard compared to an actual beard there is a big difference. A fake beard looks way too curly and is whiter than a marshmallow and looks very fake when a real beard looks real.
Another reason why I think that women should not be able to play the role is because women do many things to make them resemble a woman. Some woman have a voice as high as a mouse. Even Erica Goepel speaks normal and soft when the children are scared. Also many women's hands are softer than a baby's bottom, but men’s hands are as rough as a rock. Along with the moisturized hands lots of women usually have their fingernails polished. Another thing that women do is apply makeup to their faces.
The last reason why I think that women should not be able to play the role is because of the traditions. Santa has been a man since hundreds of years ago in the third century. It goes all the way back to 280 A.D when a monk who was born in modern day Turkey known as St. Nicholas dropped a bag of gold into the chimney of a family who was so poor that they couldn’t pay for a dowry. He did this for each one of the three daughters. St. Nicholas was known for his kindness and was known “as the protector of children and sailors”. Who knew that years later he would be known as the one and only Santa
