Though we cannot eliminate such possibility, it does nothing to diminish its colossal importance—to arouse international discussion and raise people’s awareness. This film is not aiming in introducing any political view, but to show us the undue extent of surveillance from the governments over residents, through collecting metadata from daily activity on any digital device, hence the way they infringe our deserved privacy, ultimately encourage all of us to be aware instead of living in ignorance. Surveillance is not only about being watched, it also implicates the situation that even if one holds some opposite views against the government and hopes to reveal information that are of public interest, the action is vehemently forbidden and the ruling does have the ability to do that as it has all the needed information for tracking one down. And this notion is indeed terrifying as it means the advent of tyranny with no transparency, no liberty, no democracy. Peoples, meaning people around the globe, will be deprived of privacy and fundamental rights.…
