There are a couple of areas immediately impacted. In an article written by Robert Rector and Jason Richwine, Ph.D. for The Heritage Foundation, the writers address education for the children of illegal immigrants. This is an expense the American public generally forgets when factoring how much illegal immigration cost. It may come as a surprise that the average cost for students in the United States is $12,300 per year. Since the government is currently allowing people to stay in the country illegally, then the government should be willing to pay for the education for the children who will grow up to be a part of our society. Another area where additional costs are incurred, are the population-based services such as police, fire, and road services. Kate lay on the pier asking for her dad to help her until the ambulance could arrive, but she could not be saved, and later died at the hospital. Imagine what it would be like to lose a family member in such a way, and then find out the person who fired the shot wasn’t even supposed to be in the country. Francisco Sanchez is an illegal immigrant who has 7 felony convictions in this country, and has been deported back to Mexico 5 times. I can fully understand the outrage that Kate’s family has towards the government, which has failed to protect them from such a
