Why I Was Tricked?

Improved Essays
I remember that dreadful day. I was tricked. I was manipulated. It makes me feel bad to say that my first memory is me getting manipulated but I can’t change the past. I remember it all began when I was riding circles around my house with my “new” tricycle. I don’t know why but I loved that tricycle. Even when the trails were filled with brown dirt that gets in your eye and bumpy rocks than make you legs go numb after two minutes. Anyways, I was riding my tricycle and my legs were too numb to go on, so I stopped to get a break. I didn’t realize that taking that break would result in disaster. Right when I stopped, my aunt walked out the front door and rested her hands against the railing. I couldn't remember her tone when she said …show more content…
I wanted to make the most out of my summer, so I called all my friends from my neighborhood and told them we should ride our bike together. We all got together and rode our bike for a couple of minutes. I wasn’t getting the adrenaline rush, I was craving for, so I needed to make a stupid idea. I told everyone that we should ride our bike on a trail. It wasn't just any trail though, this trail has steep trenches. Trenches so steep that you feel like you losing contact with the ground once you take off. Somehow, I convinced everyone to come but they told me that I had to go first and they would be right behind me. I didn’t care though because I just want to go fast. I counted down and I took off. I was going fast, I felt the adrenaline rush all over my body and I was loving it but that didn’t last very long. I didn’t see it at first but there was a branch on a trail and It got in between my front wheel spokes. My back wheel popped up and I was propelled head first into the air. I didn't have time to put my hands out, so I landed head first into some rugged stones off the trail. I was probably in a lot of pain, but I couldn't remember because I was half conscious when I was getting up. That wasn't all though. Just like he told me, my other friend zooming down the trail. He couldn’t break fast enough and his wheel hit me right across the face and knocked me down again. The hit ended up chipping my tooth, once again I couldn't feel …show more content…
Eighth grade just ended. Some of my friends were going to different high schools, so we all decided that it would be a good idea if we went paintballing. Once we all arrived at the location, we loaded our guns and put our face masks on. I was excited. The instructor came and with a monotone voice he said, “We are playing capture the flags”. I didn’t remember if he said the rules, but I remember his voice. His long and dragging voice that is stopping me from going out there and playing. Once he finally stopped talking we went into two different groups and rushed to the opposite different sides of the field. Once the whistle was blown everyone went into hiding, but not me. I am brave, unlike the others. I didn’t know the rules but I saw a flag in the middle and I knew I needed to grab it. While everyone was hiding and blinding shooting at one another, I was dodging bullets left and right in “no man’s land” to get the flag. Finally, I did what no one could. I got the flag. I was ecstatic. Now all I needed to do was bring the flag back to my base. I was running like a maniac trying to win the game before I get shot. Everyone around me was yelling with excitement as I was running towards our base. Once I got there I realized that they weren't cheering me on but telling me to go to the other direction. It turned out that I was supposed
