We were on our way to meet a 4 week old puppy. I was nervous when we first walked into the house. We left my house around noon to go to Turner, Maine. It was about an hour and a half drive. I remember my family fighting over what time we were going to leave. Whenever we go somewhere we plan on leaving at a certain time and then usually don't leave until a half hour later. We stopped in Wiscasset to get dog toys just in case we needed them. When we finally arrived we all got out of the car. When I first saw the house I was wondering if we were at the right place and sure enough we were. There were fences surrounding the house and there was a garage with fences connected to it. Except this time we weren't just going to bring home one dog, but two. My mom felt bad because there was only one dog left from the litter of the dog that we were taking home. When we arrived my dad got out of the car and my mom, my brother and I stayed in the car. We were watching two dogs play outside and they were bullying a little puppy and I said to my brother and my mom, "I bet that one is ours." I can't explain the feeling of seeing all of those puppies. They were all so happy when they saw us walk in. A guy came up to us and asked us which ones he needed to get for us. And sure enough the two puppies he brought to us, were the ones that were bullies. When he gave them to us he said the male is about 20 pounds and the female is around 15 pounds. He started handing the male to me and I was like I can't hold him and my mom said I will and handed the leashes and collars to me. Once I got situated in the car my mom put the male on my lap and the female was on my brother's lap. When we started driving the dogs would not stop whining and when one dog was on your lap the other one had to be

Just checking in to see how your dog duties are coming along. I hope Emma is healing and that Diesel hasn’t eaten anyone yet. Our Foster dog almost died, was diagnosed with either/both leukemia and a stomach blockage of some sort, and then made a full recovery. We had a chance to have him put down, but I decided to give him more time and brought him home from the hospital with a prescription for Prednisone, which was expected to extend his life by maybe another 6 weeks.
