I learned and further developed various techniques during the whole process. One of the various skills I established is perseverance. I know I improved at this skill because at first I wasn’t sure if I would be able to memorize all my lines in time, since I would always mess up while practicing, thankfully, I didn’t let myself concede and I continued practicing, and when it was time for the assessment I was able to memorize all my lines. Two other skills that I acquired were collaboration and problem solving skills. I strengthened my collaboration skills because I had to work with another person and include their ideas even though I wasn’t really used to that since I usually work independently. My problem solving skills flourished since my partner and I both had to come up with unprecedented concepts to successfully portray our characters. You want to believe that you’ll never mess up and that you’ll always be exceptional at everything you do but that isn’t always the case. People mess up, humans aren’t perfect, even though we like to feel like we are. I would like to be the first to say that I didn’t have much creativity in my performance and that I could have added more flair. I didn’t get the best grade, but since it’s my first time doing an assessment like this I completely understand. I know that from here I can only go higher.
