This observation method is restricted at a specified length of time, as this type of observation can be very time-consuming.
Continuous observation allows for the recording of changes in relation to behaviour and also the length of time these changes take place for. Any cases of target behaviour can be recorded in this method.

Non-participant observation: Participants behaviours can be impartially defined and measured in this method of observation. Non participant observation develops objective quantitative results that can be compared with others found.
In this method of observation, the research questions and the hypotheses can be created and accounted for. Also, solid details can be recorded as the observation is limited to particular
