I must admit, however, that the first paper was the most difficult one. Mainly because I was still new to the course and the expectations, and the drafts were fairly repetitive and I found the topics to be somewhat difficult to discuss in 1000 words without repeating myself. I chose to write about animal science and terms that go along with that major. Even though I love animals and have a passion for them, I found it difficult to express those feelings in writing. It can be hard to write about something that you enjoy because you do not always know why you enjoy it, you just know that you enjoy it. After I finished my final draft, I expected about a high C because I felt as though it was scattered and repetitive; however, I received a higher grade than expected. Paper two asked for the class to choose an experiment from the book, Astonish Yourself: 101 Experiments in the Philosophy of Everyday Life, that is of interest to us and expound on our interest in the experiment. I chose the discuss Experiment Sixteen, “Dream of all of the places in the world.” Seeing how writing is difficult to me if the topic is not interesting, this paper was perfect for me in that it that the experiment relates to something that I would like to do in the future, which is to travel the world. Out of all of the papers, I spend the least time on paper two because I was able to write about travelling, and subtopics relating to it, with ease. I feel strongly about this topic because it is something that I want to do in the near
