Being the younger sibling you are always forced to do the things that your older siblings do, or you want to be like them so you do it too. My older sister LeAnn has always been the smart one, so i have always tried to match her. In my attempts in doing that I have played softball and basketball both of which I hated, they just weren't for me. I finally found something that I enjoyed that she had done in that we both could talk about our accomplishments. The activity that I found was FFA she had been an officer her junior and her senior year of high school. I have tried my best to match her in my involvement of the FFA.

The FFA has been apart of my life since I was in the seventh grade. I remember helping out at Old Macs durning the Sioux Empire Fair. Because my sister was an officer she had to find workers. Well me being her kid sister that really didn't have much say I was forced to help her I remember being there all day and hating it. My sophomore year I changed what I did for the fall CTE’s. Instead of doing parliamentary procedure again I change to Ag Issues. It was different for me but I enjoyed it a lot. I think that I like it more than parole was that i was something that my sister didn't do so i didn't feel like i had to live up to her. Joining the Ag Issuer team allowed me to make even more friends and allowed me to go to state for a third time. Later in my sophomore year I competed in floriculture and was number one on the team for Harrisburg. Because of that I was allowed to go to state for the forth time. Aside from that I applied to become a chapter officer for the Harrisburg FFA. I made a resume went through the interview process and when it came to the banquet I discovered that I didn't make it. And I was okay with that because it gives me for initiative to try again next

A dilemma that I faced, and still am facing is simply the decision about what I want to do with my life after my high school career. In my freshman year of high school my goal was simply to get through the year in one piece. I was forced to conform to my new environment and all the strict rules that came along with it. Along with that it was the sudden transition from being the "big dogs" as eighth graders at my middle school to being "fresh-meat" in my first year high school. With so much attention placed on me as a freshman like on the varsity basketball team, where I was constantly forced to prove my worth to the coach and the players, to stepping out of my comfort zone and performing in a mandatory play for the rest of the the school as…

On top of that, I learned about a few careers, and got to listen to some amazing speakers. All of the speakers had great messages. The first one about living in the moment, the last about tomatos, and how to live a better life.…

My life began to spiral downward before fifth grade began. I found myself an endless loop over summer vacation of waking up, experiencing the day as a blur, sleep, then repeat. This drove me to discover a new way to spend my day. On the television I noticed a recurring advertisement for a game called ‘World of Warcraft’. At first I instilled the mindset that I could spend my time pragmatically but eventually I succumbed to boredom.…

My life had become overwhelmingly complicated due to an initial depression, which grew stronger as I gave up on much of what was important for me at the time. This downward spiral had to end. Finally, I withdrew from high school halfway through my sophomore year, but not before voluntarily choosing to attend a military school 600 miles away from home. A free program designed for dropouts and sponsored by the national guard, this was a place where I could recover all of my high school credits and set myself up for success.…
