9 August 2015 marks Singapore’s 50 years of independence (SG50). The whole nation celebrated the independence with solemn tribute paid to Singapore’s founding father Lee Kuan Yew at the National Day Parade 2015. The usual seat for Mr. Lee was left vacant with orchids adorned the empty seat; the national flower of Singapore in honour of him.
Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s efforts were acknowledged by the people around the world. He had managed to transform Singapore from a poor and weak country to a rich and strong country.
