This would be a tough topic for me to discuss with someone who was in that position because I have never been in a position in my life where I felt that joining a gang would be necessary for me in anyway. Or have had the desperate need to based off of all the reasons people join that we have learned over the semester. But if I was to discuss this decision I would make it perfectly clear to them that by joining you are basically agreeing to a life of crime and violence. And that the road they are leading down will almost certainly lead to death or prison. I would also like to hear why they feel the need to join one. If it is for reasons like money, I would inform them that it could be almost as easy to find a job as it is to slang dope or be
